Dr. Zvi Yaari is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Trained in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Yaari brings extensive expertise in cancer research and nanotechnology. He earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Following his doctoral studies, he pursued postdoctoral research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he focused on developing innovative nanotechnologies for early cancer detection. His work involved the use of single-walled carbon nanotubes to engineer smart optical sensors for the real-time detection of biomolecules.

In addition to sensing technologies, his research also explores the design of nanoparticles for the controlled release of therapeutics, aiming to enhance treatment precision and reduce off-target effects.
